wolfy42 10/10/18 4:06:14 AM #2: | The goblins shot arrows at him, hitting him in the arm and thigh and Beryl screamed in pain and anger. He heard the stones whispering though and recited the healing word while rushing at the goblins...and most of the damage went away. As he approached the goblins two things happened, first he felt a surge of sound and new words appeared in his head. He recited them and felt the stone seaping into his limbs, imbuing him with knowledge and skill he did not normally have. This was amazing enough but in a brief flash of light, his club transformed. Before it had been a simple (but quite large) wooden club, but as he charged it changed, and when the light cleared, he held a large warhammer, with a wooden shaft (though it may have been the same wood as the club, it was hardened and covered in runes) and a heavy metal head. It was quite a bit heavier then his club, but Beryl didn't slow and swung it at the first Goblin he reached. THWACK!!! The warhammer connected solidly with the goblins quite hard head, but the head was not quite hard enough as it shattered under the blow. The goblin dropped dead at Beryl's feat. The two other goblins let out a cry and quickly tried to run away, but Beryl felt a power running through him, an urge to fight, and before they got even a few feet away, Beryl slammed his warhammer into the skull of a second goblin. THWACK!!!! Much like the first, the second goblin collapsed, dead in one blow. Now the whispers were roaring in Bery's ear, and he let them out. Releasing them toward the last goblin as it ran. There was a loud sound, much like a bell tolling, and the Goblin spun in a circle, clutched it's head and collapsed. The whispering quited and Beryl caught his breathe, pulled the arrows out and then used another word of healing on himself. He felt good. This was his first fight, but he felt like he was made for it. Much of the tension and worry left him as he did not feel so alone anymore. Beryl rested and then continued onward, eventually reaching Waterdeep. Having never been to a city, let alone a huge one the size of Waterdeep, Beryl was confused and overwhelmed, but he got directions to where most of the smiths were and went looking for Blue. When he got to the traders district and asked around, he found that Blue had moved on, left the city, and nobody knew exactly where he went. Beryl was at a loss, this was where he was supposed to go, what should he do now? --- "did you steal my f***in signature" Helly ... Copied to Clipboard! |
