He decided to go get some food and headed to a local tavern. Inside, he ordered
some food and found himself listening to a lovely young Bard named Eerie.
She was looking for a bodyguard as she was going to be traveling and had an
aversion to getting blood on her maps (other then for decoration). Beryl was
intruiged by her knowledge and wisdom, her enthusiasm for mapping and the
obvious fact that she had a clear plan and purpose.

So Beryl approached her, asking her if he could join her for a drink. He related
his experiences and asked if she would consider him as her bodyguard and was
quite happy when she accepted. He did not think to ask about pay, but was glad
to have a companion, someone to travel with with more experience and direction.

Beryl and Eerie went on a few adventures and quests together, eventually both grew
more powerful. Beryl felt learned more spells from the stones and gained more
skill at combat. He felt stronger and more resilient. He found he liked traveling
with Eerie, he was learning alot and was never bored or felt alone. He worried
about his people though, and suggested that they head back to his homeland soon.
Eerie, did not know of many maps of the area, so agreed quickly.

As it would happen, a means of getting there quite fast happened along.

General things about Beryl that I would like.

First he is very young, I would like to play it that he has normal saving throws
from wisdom, but for any lore, or wisdom based skill check, he gets a -2 penalty
do to his age and inexperience. This could be balanced out at the DM's discretion
by a +2 to any such checks that involve anything stone related or information that
may be obtainable from the stone around him (such as a search for a secret
passage in a stone tunnel, or the qualities of a certain stone etc).

Second, he currently has no knowledge at all that his family and tribe
has been obliterated. The tribes name was The Anakim Sandriders, and his
mother was their high priestess. This could be incorporated at the will of
the DM, but it would not be widely known. They were nomadic and travled all
over, but were very rarely seen by others. Beryl would have a very hard
time finding them, and it wouldn't happen quickly.

He is currently 7"10 and about 340 pounds. He might grow about another each, but
he has pretty much fully matured physically.

Beryl's Warhammer is magical, but currently only equivalent to a normal warhammer.
If would like to have it....morph....as he levels up a bit if possible.
Instead of him getting a magical item randomly or something, the item gets
stored (not physically in the game world, but basically in the DM's piggy bank)
and the bonus is applied when Beryl levels up.

If most characters will have a +1 level by level 4 for instance, when Beryl
increases in level to 4, there is a special flash of light and the Warhammer
alters slightly, becoming a Warhammer +1. Other changes can happen as well,
elemental damage bonuses, larger size then normal (you do versatile damage 1d10
with one hand..or basically a +1 damage modifier..but for theme it would just be
that the warhammer grows to fit Beryl's larger size and strength perfectly).

Could be a way to make his weapon special and unique, and I would like eventually
(some time in the future) for him to discover it was his mothers weapon before him.
After he discovers they are all dead of course!

That is my basic background and ideas for Beryl, let me know if you would like
any other information or if there is anything else I should do. Other then that
I am ready for Sunday (well, I don't know where we are actually meeting lol, but
besides that).
