It is fun, played it a few times and I own a set of disks.

BTW, most of the bad experiences people have with disk golf is parks convert themselves to "disk golf courses" because it is actually cheaper to maintain a disk gold course then a public park. Disk golf courses have next to no actual regulations so all they really need to do is mow the grass once a month (maybe not even that depending on the location).

So yea, no keeping out bugs, or poison ivy, or anything like that.

I didn't mean to imply the course I tried was unkempt. The ivy was in the out of bounds areas. Once you get some practice keeping the discs on the course then stuff like that is less of an issue. But yeah they tend to be set in the woods if not built into a normal course so they don't get the same maintenance.

One course didn't really make it clear where the next hole was. Since there were no gates or attendants it was a totally free game. The third course I tried was the closest to 'official' with 18 holes set in a wooded area and par 5 holes.
