The Owner of FF9 10/12/18 1:01:45 PM #383:	I like FFVIII more than Squall. I remember really getting into the junction system. I find Squall's character development to be weak. He suddenly stops being an insufferable prick and starts being a good guy for seemingly no reason. Sure he falls in love with Rinoa, but I remember that being so sudden I was wondering if it was some kind of dream sequence at first. There's no build-up to the moment he admits he has feelings for her. I might have to replay now that I'm older, but he never endeared himself to me like Zidane (for his good humor, playfulness and being supportive to the rest of the cast) and Cloud (for overcoming having his identity being so fucked up by Shinra, Advent Children aside). --- Best.
