It's accepted common knowledge that a flu shot can give you a mild case of the flu if it's not quite as dead as it's supposed to be. A lot of doctors straight up suggest that you shouldn't even get a flu shot for precisely that reason, unless you're in a dangerously at risk health group like the elderly or people with compromised immune systems. Because in your attempt to avoid getting sick, you can basically make yourself sick. Even moreso since no flu shot is ever really 100% effectively anyway, because you're inoculating against LAST season's flu, not whatever new strains are going to evolve in the current season.
