Plus, prison guards beat the shit out of prisoners all the time(not federal prison guards, as they have a very good surveillance system and a good ratting system for the abusive guards, but the state ran ones and the for profit ones have guards beat up prisoners for fun), what makes you think cops do it any different? No we don't. I've literally only broken up fights and never once have I hit anyone doing it. The only time we beat anyone up is if they directly attack us, which is rare. Which goes back to what i said... people are incredibly delusional about what police and other law enforcement are like. It's the fault of media sensationalism. No, I knew a girl that worked for a prison.(not sure if it was a state or for profit, but it definitely wasn't a federal one) She'd brag all the time about how she gets to beat up prisoners for fun. I have a buddy that's been working at a federal prison for over 10 years now, and he said aside from rough handling a bit for uncooperative prisoners, he never laid a finger on them.
