This is from the LSAT, they give you 3 hours. LSAT scores are judged against other LSAT scores - if you're above the median (of the law school to which you're applying) you have a good shot at getting in.
The question asks what answer is best supported by the text. There's only one answer that fits that bill.

Personally, I think that's much harder and actually serves to test whether the reader understood the text or not.

I'm all aboard the "standardized testing generally tests parental income over educational achievements"-train, but that's not it.
