Wondering because I received a cold call from a recruiter and he was asking about my current work, but he wanted to know my direct managers name

I declined to disclose the department I work in and manager because I felt it was too much information. Also the call was unexpected

Does anyone feel there sometimes job recruiters can ask for too much information and pry? Also they are somewhat inconsiderate to a person's time, it seems they don't keep in mind that they are calling during working hours so my mind may not be focused on the recruitment process or other opportunities in that moment ...
