Pokemon sells well no matter how awful the product is. Look at Scarlet and Violet, games that released in an objectively awful state in which they ran like absolute trash (still do btw, it was never fixed).

They clearly stopped giving a shit about quality when they moved to 3D in gen 6. The shoestring budgets were probably easy to work with when they had simplistic 2D graphics but now that games look and sound better and better, the lack of care and effort in these games is becoming more and more blatant.
