i'm guessing that i need to buy the complete collection of the walking dead if it appears on a sale because that's the only one i could see being delisted i have everything else.

If they didn't play them now then they most likely weren't interested in the first place. Steam can and will remove games eventually. Microsoft did it with the games for windows store by never migrating purchases or games to the windows store. I called several times and their response is either games bought digitally are owned by them and only licensed to you. Digital games suck

I believe the only ones they've pulled so far are Back To The Future, Tales of Monkey Island and the Walking Dead games.

You aren't paying someone money to make you take an extra step. The "updates" should have been a completed project to begin with. You're paying for their sloppy R&D cycle and enabling companies to fleece you for DLC. Plus, you need to have (read: pay again) internet access to keep this process going.
