Removing the Nintendo games pretty much gives Chrono Trigger a free win, at least now we're not sure which game would win the contest.
Then again I'd say Chrono Trigger may be the favourite to win a contest right now as it's both loved and something people could rally around to stop Nintendo.

Hmm...I see we're still refusing to allow top 25 games to be tied. This is the first time that my counts actually added up perfectly and all of the "also receiving votes" were exactly as I counted them, so tell me...exactly what was the point difference between Paper Mario and PW:AA:T&T?
Actually, I've never understood why you don't print the totals for the top 25, period. Not very NCAA-like if you ask me.

I always thought it was weird that MGS3 was getting rated so far ahead of RE4. those two games seem equal to me. it's probably just one point on everyone's ballot but when Mario 3/World are between them it looks wrong.
I just go with alphabetical order, basically, yeah.
I mean, the difference is purely aesthetics anyway. Not a big difference between two "#14t" spots and a #14 and a #15. Not like it damages their RPI ranking or anything.

MGS3's average ranking this week was 8th (exactly 8th, actually) and RE4's was almost 9th, so yeah, very little difference on the ballots. But that one point adds up with 15-20 voters.

I was looking at the division, Dynasty Warriors 4, Mana Khemia, MVP Baseball 2005 and Umineko no Naku Koro ni are all in the same division and one of them are going to get at least three wins when this is all over.
Speaking of winless/lossless 17 games each still maintain that standard.

Most of those should stay intact this week. Yoshi's Island is probably the only undefeated game with a serious chance of losing this week. Maybe AC2 against Diablo 2, it losing that match wouldn't surprise me. I'll be interested to see what Galaxy 2 does against FFVI this week. I expect it to win, but I wonder how close it will be.
Ace Combat 5 and Puzzle Fighter face each other this week, so one of them will get a win! Most of the others don't have a great chance of winning.
Also Assassin's Creed II, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Mega Man 2 and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess are not ranked in the top 25.
While they are among the weakest games to have never lose yet you kind of have to consider them eventually, especially if they continue their streak to double digits.

Well, Mega Man 2 and Twilight Princess were on the brink. 20-25 is pretty volatile and shifts for no apparent reason from week to week, so they could get on just by random variation. AC2 or Path of Radiance will need to win a big match before they even get serious consideration.
