I mean it's one thing to remark on the sheer coincidence of Hansen being 'caught' doing something scummy in the same way that he caught others doing scummy things.

But to suggest that this is in any way "poetic" or "awesome" is to suggest that there's karmic retribution in Hansen getting caught, which in turn suggests that you actually disliked Hansen before this news broke and are rooting for his demise. That and the false equivalency in appearing to equate Hansen's behavior with the individuals he caught, that's equally disturbing.

Really, this story is tragic, not humorous. The tragedy is in the fact that Hansen's behavior here may undo the legitimacy of To Catch a Predator, a show we desperately need and that humanity only benefits from in catching underage predators, who are infinitely worse kinds of scum than the kind of scum Hansen is for committing adultery with a consenting adult.
