Land Before Time started something big. Land Before Time II was too experimental. Land Before Time III was fun. Land Before Time IV introduced a darker and more serious plot but had some annoying twists like hardly anyone dying.

Land Before Time V wasn't very strong in the story department but made up for it with some neat gimmicks. Land Before Time VI is widely renowned but gets pretty controversial in its second half. Land Before Time VII definitely took the series to new heights but gets a lot of flak for it anyway. Land Before Time VIII was much more character-driven but had some really odd revelations like all the dinosaurs having come from the same egg or something.

Land Before Time IX is often credited with bringing the series back to its roots before Land Before Time X took it farther away than ever with a cool plot and an annoying lead. Land Before Time XI is still popular to this day but a lot of the core fans don't care for it. Land Before Time XII is infamous for its director walking away from it.

Land Before Time XIII was entirely too linear, man.

I saw the one where Spike actually talked, and I swore off The Land Before Time forever.

Well, not specifically because of that, but because the movie was bad.

I think I stopped at VI, but I don't remember what that one involved. I do remember thinking V was my favorite of the ones I watched.

It surprises me that according to Jeff Zero's post, they all actually had some kind of quality to them. I figured the longer it went on, the worse and worse they would've gotten.

I suppose this part could confuse you and prevent you from "getting" the analogy because the second part isn't really applicable to FFX!

Marsgurl, of Thatguywiththeglasses.com , reviewed all the movies, the show (didn't know they had a ****ing show until she reviewed it) and the games

http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videolinks/ir/marzgurl/reviews

so if you want to see abridged versions (not of the Little Kuriboh kind) of the movies, check it out

but like everyone else on the site, she tries skits and doesn't do a good job at it, so theres your warning

Wait, what

I'll give you a summary.

<This here is spoiler space, since weirdos will interpret ANYTHING as spoilers nowadays>

Some stupid looking dinosaurs inexplicably started being obnoxious douches who were all like "Hay guyz, you should try having new ideas & stuff" and the herd was all like "No, we're kinda busy, you know, SURVIVING."
Then they go on a stupid adventure that endangers lives, as well as ruins a couple, and best of all, was completely pointless. Then those stupid dinosaurs were all like "Hey, way to go!" and teleported away, most likely wearing a trollface their entire trip back to their home planet.
THE END

I wish I was making this crap up just to **** with you.
