I've never tried contacts, I've been rocking glasses the past couple years though. I guess contacts would be handy when your face is between a chicks huge knockers.

You can wear them in the shower, just be careful that water doesn't splash into your eyes, because that can push them up and underneath your eyelid.

What kind of contacts? I am assuming soft with the mention of a two week trial pair.

I wear rigid gas permeables which have a number of differences with regard to size (smaller) and feel (generally regarded as more uncomfortable than soft).

It took me a few weeks to adjust to the things and each morning I would spend perhaps 5-10 minutes trying to get my contacts in, sometimes more. Nowadays it requires next to no time, but it was an interesting adjustment...

I used to be scared at the situations where they might fall out, but overall...they hold pretty well in place. Most of the times there has been an incident, it happened within the first few months.

Contacts are great. They take a little while to get used to, but after that it's smooth sailing.

definitely a sound policy.

rgp lenses are made to order though, so i couldn't quite get a trial period (i was pretty certain i wanted to at least try them though).

just watch out on if you have them inside out or not, as i have heard it can be hard to tell sometime with those soft lenses. idk how i would handle them though, as they are so..flexible. like, i can't help but think i would tear them XD.

And I have access to a car.

But I do not have a job to pay for gas and so I ride my bike everywhere. >_<''

On the bright side I'm still trying to lose weight (50 down, 10~ to go!)

But it feels pretty sad that I have a license and an available car, but I can't do anything with it.

I'm a glasses guy.

I did the contacts thing for a little while, but I wasn't entirely comfortable touching my eyes and I think glasses suit how I look better anyways.

Which isn't to say I wouldn't be unwilling to try again at some point, but I don't see myself making the change for some time at least.

i've never drove a day in my life

gotta try for my permit again so i can get one of the several people who offered to teach me to drive to teach me to drive

got 5 grand saved up so i should be able to find a decent car

then maybe i'll try to get an apartment with a friend again and have somewhat of a normal life of a 24 yr old

probably will get a pair but only reason i really wanted contacts was for tinted ones and the doctor said with what i had they only had one brand that would work for my eyes but i wouldn't be able to see as well as i could and he really disliked them

he basically told me do i want different color eyes or the best vision i could possibly have

plus one of my friends said as long as i have my eye prescription i can get glasses from this place called zennioptical.com

If you really want to have different color eyes and still see, there is a way...

You put on your corrective lenses first and put the tinted lenses on over the corrective pair.
