Japan has a population of 128,000,000. Africa has a population of about 1,000,000,000. So if you choose Japan you are basically saying one Japanese person is ~9 times more valuable than an African person.

Why just Japan?

In any case, it's not really saying that one Japanese is "worth" more than one African. Rather, it's saying that one country is more beneficial than a whole continent because Japan continually produces and exports their goods to the rest of the world; Africa has given us...pyramids...and vuvuzuelas.

China is more and more becoming a threat to the American way of life, and China has been pretty much colonizing Africa for some time. By eliminating Africans from play, USA can restore some balance and maybe move into Africa some too if it is quick enough.

Some of the most beautiful women in the world are South Africans.

Also, after spending three months IN South Africa, the thought that someone would actually be willing to throw away the lives of the people I met there just because is kind of depressing.

But I guess I'm the only one who really has that issue since I imagine hardly anyone else here has actually been to an African country. It's a lot easier to "push the button" when it's just a nameless, faceless entity to you.

Japan. Their technological advances are critical to saving the world, whereas... Africa provides little of that and frankly has a lot of problems that require a lot of solving, to be honest. Plus with all the developing countries down there, the emissions being stopped would help if anything. Plus, we do have that whole global overpopulation thing, so... >_>
