Any idea where to change the default death message? Because you see my VX is in French, but the project I'm working on is in English so I had to translate all automated messages to English (Like the miss messages, level up messages and such). Anyway ! I translated everything except the death message, I looked everywhere in the scrips and there's nowhere where I can translate this, which is kinda stupid.
Anyway ! If any of you guys know where the hell I can change that it'd be nice, because it feels strange to have everything in English but that. I looked a while on google but good luck finding something matching those criterias, especially since I doubt it's a common problem.

If you want to change the text used when a specific enemy or player character dies, you have to change the text used for the Death State. There are separate messages for both.
If you want to change the text for when you defeat all enemies and win a battle, it's in the Scripts. In "Vocab" under "Battle Ending Messages".

I guess I'll use this topic for another question !
Is it possible to changes what stats do? For instance Agility is kinda useless atm since it only governs initiative, I want to make it so having a high agility also gives a boost to crit chances or something, can't do that with events.

You can go into your status' s or status effects menu or whatever and change things there. Some things you can not do without scripting, and this is especially hard to do with battles. Most of time you'll probably want to clear the current list of status's and make new ones.
Yeh the best way is to make new statuses, im pretty sure what you're asking to do is do-able without changing the scripting. Just do to the status seciton on the database and create new ones that implement other attributes, thats what i usually do.
Also i just read in that other topic where i asked you if you had a demo, and you said you loved item creation, im totally with you on that.
Are you just using the default item icons? Or have you downloaded multiple icon lists to give you more variety, if not definately do that, means you can make far more unique items.
That usui website is pretty much where I get all my resources except from my scripts (I use a French website for those). I don't really use many scripts though, atm I only have one that brings a level up screen when you level up.

Im currently using an AWESOME menu script i found somewhere, dont know if you've played my latest B8 RPG demo, but i use it on that, and its so smooth and SO much better than the bland regular menu.
I'm actually wondering if there is a fancy script that would make it so certain attacks would let you use a new moveset, for like combos and things (I guess like Sabin)

It's super easy to do something like this with events.

I mean like for the middle of battles. Like say each character has 3 sets of attacks. Openers, Links, and Finishers.
If a character uses an opener, it starts a chain which opens up the Links moves for that character. Finally, after using a Link a character can either keep using Links, or use a Finisher. Using a finisher resets that characters move list back to openers.

I know, skills can call events. So for instance you can do something like this :
Character use '' Opener 1 ''
-Opener 1 has a damaging effect and calls the event '' Links '' -The '' Links '' event then adds the Links skills to your movesets. -Each '' Links '' skills calls the '' Finisher '' event that adds the Finishing moves to your movesets. -The Finisher moves call the '' Reset '' event that remove all the combo moves and bring the character back to its original moveset.
Now the problem is that if the battle ends while in the middle of a combo you'll be stuck with the moveset you add at the mment of the battle so you'll have to create a common event that works constantly in the background that resets the moveset of the character (using Level conditions and stuff).
Now if you want to do all those moves in a single turn that's a tad more complicated.
And yes Jeff you can still upload MIDIs and chipsets.

And just so you know a once created a character that used a system similar to this, so it does work, I tried it !
I really really like using events and since I can't script at all it's what I use to do most things. As a result I've gotten pretty good with them, there are tons of system I can create with events, like upgrade systems, bank systems, lockpickin systems etc.

I used to make little projects with RPG Maker 2000, 2003 and XP. I oughta check this out.
You can still upload chipsets and MIDIs and stuff right? Game ain't right without FFVI's boss battle hittin' atcha.
Yeh you can still upload midis and chipsets. I actually much prefer XP to this in terms of mapping, but VX is a lot better in other regards. Mapping is a major issue though.
