Lara/Ethan/Wesker/X/Vivi have challenged Sephiroth/Seymour/Ryu/Luca/Leon to a fight! Location of the fight: Spekkio's Arena (Chrono Trigger) - A medium-size square platform, fenced in, suspended in eternal nothingness. There is room to maneuver (though not too much), and there is no cover to speak of. Which side will win?



Guidelines

- The fight will occur in real-time (like an FMV sequence). Gameplay mechanics are less important than how the characters would function in a real-time environment.

- The members of each team are ideal teammates capable of a pre-selected plan of battle.

- "Broken" refers to a lot of things, including insta-death, auto-effects, a variety of status effects (e.g., Imp, Silence, Stop, *not* Poison), and revival. Unless stated otherwise, nobody has them, though do use your own discretion.

- There may be SPOILERS from all of the games the characters are from.



Rules for Voting

- Bold your votes (using <b> and </b>).

- Provide a justification for why you think the selected team would win. Fanboy logic, ignoring character assumptions or rules, and vague or unintelligible justifications are all grounds for having your vote disqualified.

- If you want to switch your votes simply bold the change; there's no need to delete your post, though you may if you wish.

- This match will end in 24 hours.



Lara is as she appears in Tomb Raider Legends, wielding her dual pistols, Excalibur, assault rifle, SMG, shotgun, and 4 grenades.

Ethan Thomas is as he appears at the end of Condemned 2, armed with a revolver, assult rifle, sawn-off shotgun, brick, bowling ball, sledgehammer, Molotov Cocktail, and Taser. Though he has access to his Sonic Voice, no, he cannot break bones with it. Additionally, he has his tools with him and comes into battle with ample ammo available, and no he doesn't need alcohol to be competent - this is at the end, he's over that.

Albert Wesker is as he appears in the Resident Evil series post-resurrection and will maintain a balanced level of PG67A/W throughout the battle. He brings to battle his H&K SL8 Semi-Automatic Rifle, grenade launcher (flame/electric), anti-tank gun, silenced samurai edge, lightning hawk magnum, h&k mp5, 5x grenade, and a first aid spray. All of his weapons are maxed out.

X is as he appears in MMX6, in his shadow armor. He has all his weapons and also has his Giga Attack. He also may transform into his MMX: Command Mission Hyper Mode, X-Fire, for up to 30 continuous seconds during the match every 5 minutes. At no point is he ever invincible.

Vivi is as he appears in Final Fantasy IX, with all of his best non-broken equipment and all of his spells save for Death, Stop, and Break. Nobody will attack Vivi in battle until he has attacked someone first (damaging abilities and berserked/mindless allies or enemies do not apply).

Seymour Omnis has access to all of his skills displayed in FFX, though he does not have the Mortiphasms with him.

Leon Kennedy is as seen in Resident Evil 4. He has access to his Semi-Auto Rifle, Matilda, Infinite Launcher, Striker, 5 Incendiary Grenades, and 5 Flash Grenades, and they're all fully upgraded with all their respective attachments.

Luca Blight is as he appears in his boss fight(s). He has access to all of his attacks, but not the Beast Rune, which he never used because the damn thing was sitting in his castle.

Ryu Hayabusa is as he appears in Ninja Gaiden 2, with all his weapons fully upgraded, as well as the Enma Fang and Howling Cannon from 2 Sigma.

Sephiroth is as he appears in Final Fantasy 7 and the Kingdom Hearts series (minus his Heartless Angel technique), with his legendary sword Masamune, limited teleportation, and access to his FFVII PC form magic. He may not use his Bizarro or Safer forms (or their magic), and no, he doesn't have Supernova.

Yeah Spekkio is really small.

Which means Luca Blight and Hayabusa and Sephiroth are going to destroy everyone but Wesker and X in short order with their superior melee skills and durability. Leon Kennedy is probably the best gunner here too speaking in terms of guns alone, as he actually has a good close range gun in the striker.

Huge durability advantage to team Sephiroth too. Seph, Luca, and Omnis are all tanky as hell and Hayabusa is really hard to hit at close range-- he'll be jumpin all over the place.

Spekkioland's teeny tiny



Lara probably dies horribly before she even gets around to swinging Excalibur. Sephiroth is likely clipping the fences when he tries to swing, actually, which might mess him over a little. But hell, Omnis is taking up a lot of space here and drawing a lot of attention, and he can tank some blows thanks to physical damage reduction. Team Omnis, mainly due to the other side having three squishes who immediately get killed in the mayhem

One-Winged Angel. Massive durability and close range gun use. X and Wesker can last a while, but they'd do better in a larger map. Sephy also has superior magic because even though Vivi can't be targetted, AoE can probably still get him, liking slamming other people towards him or shotgun spray or massive Masamune slice. Plus, can't Sephiroth fly?

Bullets and melee take out anyone squishy in five seconds. Wesker/X have nowhere to run. Though... I'd like to see a Wesker vs. Hayabusa Dirna. Still. Luca owns, Leon's shotguns, Sephiroth spams from above.

Also, wow, when did Luca and Sephy wind up back on the same team? Worthless maggots.

I don't suppose Vivi has some uber spell that will take out the other team on his first attack?

Yeah Sephiroth can fly so even if there are clipping issues with the sword (I don't think there will be-- Spekkioland is small but not that small.) he can just fly up and do his crazy KH2 attacks or magic.

Vivi's best spell for massive damage would be Doomsday-- problem is that hits his team too and it'd only kill Ryu and Leon at best (and Lara and Ethan).

Team Omnis Just overpowers poor Team Lara with absolutely no room to hide. Omnis will probably take up a ton of the field himself and sephs sword will take up the rest. Leon can crack some cheesy lines as Luca screams madly, but it doesn't matter since Seph and Omnis could handle this on their own.
