We recreated (or attempted to) Helm's Deep in AoEII... my friend and I would just make a bunch of campaign's (that were essentially a bunch of awesome characters)

Man, I remember that game. It was so broken but so fun.

However, I'd agree with TC.

Demolition ships in shallows were my favorite thing. "Oh, you're going to try to cross your army over these shallows? Have fun with that as I kill your men in a quick but inefficient manner!"

Also, as a kid I always played as Byzantines because I looked at a strategy guide and they got every unit except siege onagers. Nevermind that I didn't use most of those units...

Age of Empires II is indeed top tier, but best? Naaah, Red Alert 2 and Starcraft probably beat it.

Not Yuri's Revenge though. It's hella fun but it's so ridiculously unbalanced it makes Mewtwo in Pokemon Red look fair.

But I like using Yuri :(
