I've got a few games that could conceivably bring in some money. A couple are even sealed (I buy way too much stuff and never got around to playing them). I know Gamestop would demand that I open them and then not give me very much in exchange. Ebay seems iffy, mainly because of PayPal. I don't know anything about the Gamespot Marketplace.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

You've gone over pretty much everything, unless you have a local game shop somewhere. You might get a better deal than GameStop, but direct selling online gets you more.

It's possible you could get more money if you sell them on craigslist, but there's no guarantee anyone will want them, and it can be time consuming if you have to re-post them multiple times. But on the other hand, you can name your price.

How the hell does Ebay seem iffy? Especially from a seller standpoint? You don't ship the item until you get payment and any money on your paypal account is easy to transfer to your bank account.

I've had some good experiences with Amazon's trade-in program.

One time I sold something on ebay. I got the money in my paypal account and spent about half of it buying stuff on ebay. About a week after I shipped the item, paypal sends me an e-mail saying that the transaction of the guy who bought my game was fraudulent, so they're refunding the money. They then took all the money out of my account, and I had a negative balance of like 20 bucks, which they then demanded and suspended my account until I paid it.

So basically, due to no fault of my own, I lost my game and got nothing in exchange.

I don't quite understand the story. I'm assuming he falsely reported that you scammed him? If so I'm sure there's something you could have done about it through ebay and got refunded. I really don't understand how it could happen that quick though. I got scammed out of something on ebay and it took about 2 months before I got refunded even though it was extremely obvious that it was a scam since tons and tons of people started leaving negative feedback on his account.

Basically, somehow paypal came to the conclusion that the transaction which paid me was fraudulent. They wouldn't give me details. But rather than just eat the loss themselves, they "reversed the transaction" and *I* had to take the loss.

I'm gonna guess that this buyer had linked a paypal account to someone else's bank account and that person didn't notice the actual linking.
