1. Iron Man - 8.5/10 - Really great movie with a fun lead character, and the most entertaining origin story of the bunch.
2. Thor - 7.5/10 - The most surprising movie of the group for me. I expected little, but enjoyed its humor and characters.
3. Captain America - 7/10 - Pretty straight forward superhero movie. It's good.
4. The Avengers - 6.5/10 - A lot of fun characters in one place. A bit of an action overload, but still a pretty good movie.
5. Iron Man 2 - 6/10 - It loses a lot of what made the first movie so fun, but RDJ is still entertaining enough to make the movie decent.
6. The Incredible Hulk - 5/10 - Pretty bland movie to me. I didn't really like or hate anything about it.

Still need to see Avengers but I caught up on the teaser trailers for it...

Iron Man
Captain America
Iron Man 2
Thor
Incredible Hulk

I was impressed because I generally dislike the Captain, but the movie made me not hate him. And not to say that Hulk is a bad movie, but Hulk tends to be all action and little story.

I'll give Hulk that it took very little time on origin story, but then it was just fight, run, fight, research, fight, run, movie over.

I've seen thousands of movies. I don't watch 30 a year, and call every blockbuster "best movie ever". I watch about 400 a year. And 6.5/10 means pretty good, which is why I explained the rating, because everyone uses numbers differently. I know people who actually say things like "7/10 it sucked".

Avengers: 10/10 - It's essentially perfect. I can't complain about anything.
Captain America: 9/10 - He's my favorite Marvel hero so I'm biased.
Iron Man: 8/10 - Fantastic movie, it paved the way for the following movies.
Thor: 7/10 - I wish Natalie Portman and her sidekick weren't in it. Thor himself is cool and the Asgard scenes were great.
Iron Man 2: 7/10 - Extremis style armor, Black Widow, and War Machine aww yeah. Final battle with Whiplash could have been longer (how the hell could he design such an invulnerable armor? Don't understand).
Incredible Hulk: 6.5/10 - I actually need to watch this movie again, I don't remember much of it.

Well in another topic he just mentioned some love for folks like Chaplin and Keaton. If he watches a lot of their stuff it's a lot shorter. But there's only so much film from that era, so I dunno if that'd hold up.

How is 400 movies a year hard? I mean it's not something I do, but that's like watching a movie every night before you sleep, and then a second one every once in awhile. Not something I do myself, but with all the time I spend gaming, it wouldn't be very difficult.

I usually watch 1-2 movies per day. Sometimes I even skip movies completely for a day. Also sometimes I watch 3 or 4 movies in 1 day. It's really not that hard to get to 400. A couple years ago I had almost 500.

Yes, I work too and do other things. I only sleep about 5-6 hours a day though.

Oh, and I really don't do gaming anymore. I just post on gamefaqs because I have for years, and like the site. So yeah, just pretend instead of all your gaming time, you were watching movies.

1) The Avengers - A. One of the best summer blockbusters I've seen, for sure. It holds a surprising amount of dramatic weight, while also being an unpretentious joy to watch - it's brilliantly crafted.

2) Captain America: The First Avenger - A-. I was really impressed when I first saw this, and I've only grown to like it more over time. The action is great, but it's the cast that makes this one truly special; Evans and Atwell in particular.

3) Iron Man - B+. Pure fluff in the best way possible. It's just such a fun, laid-back popcorn flick.

4) The Incredible Hulk - C. I liked Norton a lot in this (though Ruffalo was even better!), but I agree that the rest of the film was bland.

5) Thor - C-. I really like Hemsworth as Thor, but the film as a whole was held back by the dull story and poor writing. One of last year's bigger letdowns.

?) Iron Man 2. I still haven't seen this yet, for some reason!

Even by a "real" scale 6.5 is a disgusting score for Avengers.

I'm not one of those who want to crucify people for giving prominent games an 8.8 or something like that, but there was nothing wrong with avengers and SO many things right.

Iron Man (a great start)
Captain America (old school, straightforward, and really fun)
Thor (the Asgard scenes drag a bit compared to the Earth ones but otherwise great)
Iron Man 2 (not as good as the first)
Hulk (serves as mindless fun)

1. The Avengers

10/10 - I am not usually one to dole out 10s for movies unless they do something truly groundbreaking, and The Avengers was no exception. I have only seen it once and it has become my favorite action movie. Flawless from beginning to end.

2. Captain America

8.3/10 - This one was the most surprising, possibly because Captain America is my least favorite of the Avengers and I went into it with low expectations. It was a solid movie with a consistently delivering plot.

3. Iron Man

7.7/10 - The humor here is top-tier, and the action is pretty good throughout. My only beef with this movie is that the antagonist is predictable and not very compelling.

4. Thor

6.4/10 - This movie feels like wasted potential. It starts off fantastic them dwindles steadily once the title character loses his powers. The humor that ensues from this situation gets pretty stale, and the romance was phoned in- I for one would rather it not have been there at all.

5. The Incredible Hulk (2008)

5.0/10 - I honestly cannot remember much about this movie, so it can't have done anything to outright offend me. Abomination was... okay? I guess.

6. Iron Man 2

4.5/10 - The humor was still good, but pretty much every other aspect was a letdown in some fashion. This is the one I would be least likely to watch again.

1. The Avengers - 9.5/10 - No 10 because Loki was a little b**** and his plan really sucked. Iron Man, Thor, or Hulk could have stopped him on their own. Everything else was grade A action and comedy.

2. Iron Man - 8.8/10 - Downy Junior is a comedic gold mine. Why he's not in more comedies is beyond me (Due Date was hysterical). Also, good action and portrayal of Iron Man's origins.

3. The Incredible Hulk - 8.5/10 - Edward Norton is way better than Mark Ruffalo. This movie gets hate for no reason.

4. Thor - 8.0/10 - Got a little gimmicky and stupid when the rest of Asgard was introduced for the final fight. Other than that, pretty good flick.

5. Iron Man 2 - 7.5/10 - Failed to live up to expectations. Still a good movie though.

6. Captain America - 7.0/10 - Unoriginal and unrealistic. Well, as unrealistic as a super hero movie can be anyways.

HUGE disagree.

They're both great, and I would say neither is "way better"

I do agree the movie gets a lot of flak that I don't understand, but it's also been some time since I last saw it
