All items and heart pieces collected, and all but 4 rings in my possession.

Just the final boss fights to go.

But the 4 remaining rings are from doing the password sidequest from Seasons to Ages, which is making me believe that the rings carry over into Hero Mode as well. If that's the case, I'll do Hero Mode right away instead of coming back go it after doing another Zelda game.

I figured that would happen. Like I said at the beginning, getting 100% in the Oracles games sucks and kinda ruined the games for me. They stand as my least favorite games in the series, barring stuff like the Tingle games or CD-i games, because the only time I played them was when I was getting 100%. I'm sure they're good games if you play them "normally", but I can't stand not being a completionist, so they're frustrating and boring games to me.

The good side is that once I got past those games, everything else seemed that much more fun.

I just looked at his list again... man, those games suck, except for Skyward Sword. I mean, they don't suck, but I think they'll be boring to talk about and awful for the purposes of this topic. For example, I think MC is going to be another challenge because I seem to remember there is a degree of randomness with the Kinstones.

And is it even possible to 100% PH? I think the ship parts have two layers of randomness to them - each part is of course randomized as you get it, but I also remember reading that there is some RNG made when you create the file that determines the commonality of specific sets for that entire playthrough. The one thing I'm not quite sure of is if it actually makes it impossible to get all of the parts, but I can say that from my experience playing it, I didn't even come close to getting everything, but I still got treasures often enough to frequently have repeats.

Oh true, PH would probably be the worst for 100%. However, I had it on Wii U VC, so I abused the crap out of save states for those stupid ship parts. You were intended to do part trading online to get everything, but with that being shut down I figured save states were fair game. Thankfully, the bow minigame made the whole process so much faster and easier. Still took a while though.

On the note of PH, I know a lot of people don't like the Temple of the Ocean King casually, but going for max time on it was actually one of the more fun parts I had during the entire series. It seems really well designed for that challenge.

For MC, the kinstones I don't remember being much of a problem. It was the figurines that created the biggest problem, but the RNG for that didn't seem nearly as bad as all the Oracles stuff.

I think I feel the same way you do about the Oracle games. Might download PH even though I have the physical copy just to make it possible to get all the ship parts much more easily.

Hero Mode is actually going a lot smoother since all the rings transfer over. Not worrying about them makes me able to play much more relaxed. Just casually made my way to the 3rd temple in Seasons.

Just after the third dungeon in Seasons, is when you can do A LOT of stuff/trading/side quests/exploration. Probably the most at any point in the game. Just after the third dungeon! It's pretty cool.

Also, I just noticed how Biggoron has a line where he says, "Goron and human alike, all that matters is health."

I thought these people weren't human!

Does Zeus have me on ignore? His post seems to imply this. Interesting, I don't think I've ever been on someone's ignore list before.

The topic has been disappointing? Ask for a refund I guess. The Oracles games take forever to 100% and are kind of a slog to do so. The topic title says he's going to get 100%, so it's not unexpected. My 100% Zelda playthrough took like 2.5 years or something, you kinda get Zelda'd out after that many so I'm not surprised this is taking a long time. I figured this topic would last at least half a year.

Hey TC, are you planning to do BotW 100% as well? All korok seeds and such?

DorkLink is sort of right. I breezed through the first three games in my list. These two games.... seem to be a hump. I'll explain why in the review. As long as the topic is not on the verge of being purged I tend not to do too many updates and save the bulk of my thoughts for the review. I've let you guys down!

Posting so the topic doesn't disappear.

I forgot I had promised to play boardgames today, and now I have to be at work in 6 hours. No time to write a review. Luckily for me, I have one dungeon and Ganon to beat, anyway. But that's it! Really put a huge dent, and will finally put these two games (hopefully) behind me tomorrow.
