That tweet says they were warned. Not that the US warned them. Everyone assumed Russia would have told Syria, and it looks like that is true.

Runways are cheap and easy to repair. Taking out a runway is only good if you're planning an immediate invasion. If they hit the hangars and took out some jets, though, that's a significantly better payoff.

The warning came from a direct line between the Pentagon and Russian Military directly just after the attack was ordered.

If "Syrian Intelligence" knew it was coming without being told then either the Pentagon or Russian Military is compromised

Occam's Razor is just that Russia told them, which is what would be expected anyway

Because, the US has a policy against political assassinations, for some reason.

But, isn't "quietly" what happened? Apart from "missiles were launched" the only reporting in the media was "there's a couple boats there". If anything, calling Russia ahead of time was exactly the right thing to do, to prevent a catastrophic worldwide clusterfuck from happening were a Russian platoon hanging around and got blown the fuck up along with the airstrip.

Ignoring the fact that al-Mayadeen is largely pro-Palestine with ties to Hezbollah and Iran. Even if you think Zeina Karam of the Associated Press is somehow biased against the network, the light in which they cover Hezbollah speaks for al-Mayadeen's position itself.

It's very likely that they moved the planes. The airbase was sparse to begin with and AT LEAST the Russians were warned, most likely the Russians warned the Syrians too

It's a good thing that they told Russia and that Syria knew it was coming.

While I doubt Syria itself has access to such methods, it can be done in an extremely short period of time.

While I doubt Syria itself has access to such methods, it can be done in an extremely short period of time.

I think the big point here is, the airstrike did nothing except waste nearly $90 million dollars. Less than half actually hit anything, and there's reports all over the news of warplanes leaving from the base today to resume bombardment of ISIS. Trump is playing a dangerous game.
