I'm really digging my starting Persona. Pretty badass looking lol

How important is collecting and fusing them?

If you have P4G there's a mechanic where you can power up weaker persona's and use them throughout the whole game iirc. In normal persona 4 izanagi is useless by like the second dungeon which is a shame.

Well, one of the things about it is that your character tends to level up faster than your persona levels up (unless you have certain abilities that increase persona experience).

So in the long run you end up with a character say level 20 and a persona that's dragging back at level 12.

Yes you can keep them, but it might be a stronger option to fuse stronger personas.

Once you have money, you can always re-summon any persona you've previously owned from the Compendium. That's what that is for. So you can re summon things, fuse things, make new personas, then fuse those, and then when you need personas to fuse you resummon old ones. It can use a lot of money but you can end up with a lot of strong Personas.

Also, registering a persona just means taking a snapshot or save of that persona, so that when you re-summon it it will be just like you left it.

If you ever fuse it away and then acquire it again normally, then that counts as a new version, so if you register it again it would override your previous register.

Hmmm...I haven't actually unlocked the ability to use a lot of this yet. I just beat the first dungeon and got Chie's Persona.

This'll all be really useful later on though. I'm totally new to the series. Picked up 4 Golden because I was interested in 5 but wasn't sure if I'd like it and it was cheap.

You definitely can use one Persona, but it levels up slower than the MC and the other characters and they stop learning skills way sooner, so you will have to depend on skill cards to get more skills. However, there are cards in shuffle time that give single point boosts to stats and there's a card that immediately levels up your equipped Persona so with enough of those your Persona can potentially get ahead of everyone else.

Wait are those stat boost cards permanent? I was getting a ton in my first dungeon. So much that I didn't take them because I assumed they were only going to last for that one dungeon.

Fml should've grabbed them

i completed my first run by changing my personas only after it learns all the skills just making sure to not have many sharing the same elemental weakness .... i think my collection was at 40-45%

just test what you can fuse when your persona reaches max lv and if you like what youlll get go for it

i did this on my first run so i would have many unplayed personas for my second playthrough
