first step would be to get those cleaned up if you can, wont be able to do much with those on your credit history

If an account reports as delinquent but I payed off the debt the the under writer, what do I do?

Have those been settled or were they given to collectors?

Get yourself a beginner credit card, possibly a secured card or one from your local credit union, and start from scratch. Make your payments on time, don't carry a balance if you can't afford it. Sign up on nerdwallet and look at some of their tips and advice based on your credit score. Don't sign up for any cards with companies you defaulted on before, you won't get them.

There's no real way to rebuild credit without using things like loans and cards that affect your score.

I've done the beginner card and that has definitely helped. I need to find the servicers for capital one as it's been charged off I think
