My world was destroyed when I found out Hugh Laurie was British and now every time I turn around it's like fuck me the Spiderman kid is British too. Is the American accent "easier" because it's all howdy y'all and cheeseburgers? Have any of our English brothers ever been fooled like this?

It might be easier to fake an American accent for a few reasons:
- American media is more common in the UK than British media in America, so more people are exposed to it on a regular basis. - The vast majority of Americans have the same accent with very minor differentiation.
