I'd say that the deep dish is more critical than sauce on top for Chicago style.

But we don't only eat deep dish. A good crispy thin crust is delicious and usually cheaper

Yeah square cut thin crust was by far the most common pizza we would eat. Deep dish was the best tasting, but it was a special treat
