Would you support a joint US-China invasion of North Korea?

In the Pass China wanted to keep north Korea as a 'border state' between her and Nato countries
However during the last few Years it seems that China believes it its more trouble that's its worth and has already banned many imports and turism to Nort Korea, while also agreeing whit Trump that Kim is a problem. China has also Warned Nort Korea.

IMO China and the US should ally and take Kim out. while many people would die as in any war, freeing North korea from the tyranical regimen would be worth it.

But more people dies and will die due to the evilness of the Kim family Regime than from a war.

Besides becoming BFF alies whit China would be great

No because I highly doubt North Korea is bad as the government tells us.

I swear for the past 10 years a nuclear strike from North Korea has been "imminent".

I bought a similar argument to that one back in March 2003. Nowadays I'm more skeptical.

I don't think the US should take any action regarding NK at all. Why should they? It's nowhere near them.

There are probably people in NK that would support a revolution but most are too deep into the Kim circlejerk. what happens when the US wins? They take over? They install some shitty puppet leader that takes it in the ass from Trump? At this point almost no actual citizens of NK will be feeling "free" if they're even still alive. I think they will be in absolute despair and disbelief.

So it's clear the US doesn't give a shit about the NK citizens. I guarantee the US government sees NK as land for the taking at this point. It's imperialism with more steps.

My concern in all this is if we do go in and clean out the place, who is responsible for the people afterwards? China? Us? South Korea? Someone else?

The idea is that we finally get a reunited Korea (which I thought was always the goal), with the South Korean government in charge. Freedom instead of totalitarianism.

Does the government/people of South Korea want that though? In the long term it probably is for the best but in the short term do they want that responsibility and financial burden?

Seoul is in artillery range of the border. An invasion would result in a massacre of a massive civilian population.

Not to mention the cost of attempting to integrate a brainwashed, hungry, and uneducated population after a successful war.

I'm pretty sure the strategy was to avoid confrontation to avoid the problems with that, and to wait an irresponsible amount of time for a coup to occur. We've waited for over 3 generations, what's a bit more?

If it was the US and China together, there's zero reason not to get this over with. I honestly expect nothing will be done until a nuke hits Seoul though.

I support rearming Japan and letting whoever takes NK first keep it to see if Japan's historical imperialism will revive from the people and punt the Kim family in to the sea.
