France has rejected extremism! It has chosen the path of liberalism, rejected the siren song of fascism urging it to scapegoat Muslims + globalization for all its problems. The EU is the best hope for the continued strength and endurance of the West and Western political ideals in the 21st century, and at least for now, it will soldier on. France will not box itself off from Europe, those of us who feared our world would soon repeat the mistakes of the 1930s can sleep a little easier at night.
