37 y/o Brandon Vezmar from Austin, Texas SUCCESSFULLY Sued his 35 y/o Date, Crystal Cruz for $17.31 as he made headlines this week over his lawsuit against her when she RUINED Guardians of the Galaxy 2 last Saturday because she was texting throughout the entire movie!!

The pair met on an online dating app called Bumble and met at the theatre to see the smash hit sequel but claimed she started texting 15 minutes into the movie and said "It was kind of a first date from hell. This is like one of my biggest pet peeves"

Crystal said she would be right back after he asked her to stop texting and suggested she go outside but she LEFT the theatre and drove away as Brandon was left without a ride..

Crystal said the texts were from a friend who wanted to make sure she was safe on the date as the 17 smackers was the amount Brandon paid for the ticket to the 3D showing of the movie

He contacted Crystal the next day asking to pay him back and said "Crystal, your behaviour Saturday was not only rude but it cost me money. I want you to compensate me for the $17 movie ticket. Will you do this or do i have to pursue the money in small claims court?"

Crystal called the incident crazy and said she aint paying him back..so he filed the suit in small claims adding the texting habits during the movie and how she activated her phone 10-20 times in 15 minutes to read and send text as it was a "direct violation" of the policy at the theatre itself and that his experience was "adversely affected by it"

Crystal said her phone was on low and wasn't bothering anybody and said she doesn't owe him anything because he took HER out on a date..AND she was going to file a protective order against him because he tried to contact her little sister for the money too!

But yesterday, Crystal apologized and gave him the money asking him to just "leave her alone" and he accepted her apology and withdrew the suit

Would you try to sue someone for less than 100 bucks? let's see if people would.

If anything, they probably deserve each other...still doesn't mean the judge shouldn't have thrown it out-they're just making a rod for their own back.

The problem is that you can use this as an indicator of how he'll be in other aspects of life. Even if I absolutely despise texting during a movie/dinner/whatever, there's no way I'm gonna date someone who uses the courts to threaten you over the tiniest things.

I understand why she just paid him. The $17 wasn't worth the hassle of actually showing up to court to fight it. But I wish she did fight it just so the judge could openly mock him and tell him to get the fuck out.

When somebody has to say "just take the money and leave me alone" you're probably a creepy person

I made a chick pay me back $5 for some McDonald's I bought her once expecting to be paid back when I delivered it. She was only a coworker, not a date. She kept refusing to pay me back so I kept bugging her until she finally wrote me a check and I left it at that. She was pretty pissed. I was a college student, $5 was a lot. That was a meal for me.

People who text constantly during a date are the worst. You can be disinterested in someone but at least have some basic courtesy. Texting a little is one thing but if you're on the phone more than you are interacting with the person across the table from you then you are a turd... especially if you're letting the other person pay for your date

Yeah okay if the situations were reversed you'd be rooting for the woman. It's not your fault, though, kid--you're just part of the system; a cog in the machine bred to follow, not lead; accept, not question; exist, not truly live.

I was once like you. I finally became enlightened some 4 years ago and I've never looked back. The system feeds us ignorance and expects us to clean our plates. I won't be a sheep, I won't be a white knight. I will look at situations like this one and give an opinion based on facts and justice, not the chromosome difference between the two parties.

though to be honest, i am actually a little biased, admittedly. the system i spoke of earlier did affect me greatly, like everyone else--so much so that, when i finally broke free, i was so pissed and bitter of being fed lies and being bred to be a beta nu-male white knight cuck that the pendulum actually swung in the opposite direction. in other words, even if the woman was totally in the right in this situation, i'd still probably go at least a LITTLE bit out of my way to spin it against her, since you people do the very same fucking thing to males without realizing it. Really, I'm doing the universe a favor by trying to keep things BALANCED.

Gosh I fucking love being insane. How else could I rant like this and believe every fucking word of it.

Sure, you can also use the fact that somebody doesn't hold a door open as an indicator or whether or not the person kills kittens. It wouldn't necessarily be a good indicator, but it's a possible indicator. However, if the guy had a history of pulling crazy shit, the tabloids would have dug it up and gone to town on him.

1) You don't go to a movie on the first date. You want interaction, not staring at a screen in silence.
2) If you need to text someone, go outside the theater rather then doing it in your seat.
3) TAKE SEPARATE CARS ON A FIRST DATE!!!! Good god it is like people want to get murdered.
4) If you are 37 years old and care so much about "loosing" $17, then you have failed at life.

I would give the edge to him though, he looks like a forever alone.
