in college i would smoke a cigarette occasionally when i was drunk, or as a social thing when my friends were outside smoking and i wanted to join them to hang out. nowadays i never touch tobacco products though.

Not in about 10 years.
Smoked probably <10 cigarettes (menthol only) in my life. A few in 8th grade, then a few between 17-19 when I was either drunk or redacted.
Smoked more black & mild than cigs.
Did a hookah once, a pipe once.

Never had any interested in trying any.
Both of my parents smoke (never did it in my vicinity while I was a kid) and I really hate it.
Just look at the financial aspect for the household. One pack a day each.

I also hate the smell.
Which is weird, because my region is renowned for it's tobacco.

I quit 6 or 7 years ago for regular. My rule now is that I don't buy tobacco but can smoke frees, though I've broken that rule a few times (once this year). I've probably had 25-30 cigarettes this year, which is high for me so no more the rest of the year. When I was having my house remodeled my contractor was a smoker and he kept offering me one which I kept accepting and it sort of got me back in the swing of smoking, so gotta cut that out.

when I was smoking regularly I was going through 1-2 packs a week or 3-6 cigs a day. there were a few times where I was going through 3 or 4 packs a week but they never lasted longer than 1-2 months.

Maybe 3-4 drags of an actual cigarette
A handful of cigars
And a few "chop" hits when someone failed to mention there was tobacco mixed in

You could always drive down to Virginia, they're about 5 dollars a pack.
