The technology is solid and they already have deals in place with some major japanese banks. The thing I dislike about XEM and the NEM dev team is the fact that the entire team is anonymous. I'd like to know the developers if I'm investing. That and they are really bad at letting investors know whats going on behind the scenes and sharing news. I held NEM for a while. I sold out of it a month or two ago and put the money into ETH or something else. It could potentially be a good investment but at this point even as a new investor I'd put my money in ETH before NEM. People are thinking they missed the train with ETH but this could potentially be a multi trillion dollar asset. Diversification is a good thing though. I have been following the top 100 coins and they have been fluctuating towards the red lately, namely STRATIS and ARK. There are coins with strong technologies like GOLEM and increasing steadily as well but aren't profitable compared to ETH and BTC in the short-term at least. If you want to invest in altcoins, look into the sub $30 million altcoins and lookout for news to pick out the one to invest. And to the OP no you had nothing to do with my investment I've been researching crypto since last summer and bought Ether and Bitcoin a month ago. Sad thing is I knew about bitcoin when it first came out like 5-6 years ago and everyone thought it was a joke/plaything. If only I'd got some back then.
