A month or three ago, I did a series of polls to pick a summer project, and this is the result! I have had a few quickly aborted LPs in the past, so I wanted to let this get some momentum going before I shared it. We're up to three videos now, so I think that's enough- enjoy! Feedback is welcome.

Probably good timing, since I'm wondering what Stardew Valley is still, and what makes it different from Harvest Moon. The game came out of nowhere as far as I'm concerned -- it was already big and massively-selling before I had heard of it.

FYI, the reason you couldn't pick the last parsnip was actually because it was a different kind. Regular parsnips will stack to 99, but that one was a higher quality (by the silver star) so it required a different inventory slot. And you didn't have any. You really need that chest. Also, to get the wood, you can chop the (living) trees. It just takes several swings.

Your computer has really loud button clicks. Is that a laptop or a desktop?

I started playing Stardew Valley maybe two weeks ago, and I just discovered an unfortunate truth: Being married does not mean your spouse waters your crops.

It says so in like every guide I read about the benefits of marriage. The spouse will water the crops.

What I found out later, after some research, is that once in a while the spouse will water the crops for you. But nobody says that. They just say the crops are watered.

So I could have spent my winter going on runs into the skull cavern trying to get iridium for sprinklers, which I spent taking care of other stuff. And now I have this enormous farm of crops, and I literally spend the entire day doing nothing but watering. Even if I had the sprinklers now, the layout of the crops isn't set up for them. I honestly don't know if I care enough to keep playing at this point.

Well, I would have if I had known I was going to have to water them personally, but they're out there now. I guess I could just ignore half of them until the other bunch is done, but I wanted most of them to be done by the egg festival so I could get strawberries. Plus, I do have the sewers unlocked, so I can at least buy sprinklers once I have open land again and can forge a placement plan.
