Not trolling. But I'm playing Kirby 64: Crystal Shards, and it just seems like a less fun Yoshi Story.

Not trolling. But I'm playing Kirby 64: Crystal Shards, and it just seems like a less fun Yoshi Story. Kirby 64 isn't the best kirby game, but mixing and matching his powers is fun. The appeal of that game and many kirby games is thinking of them like beta test levels of other games where the level is just a playzone to test a mechanic or power-up, but with kirby there are so many different powers to play with that's where you get your fun and variety. Yoshi Story is worse because there aren't the powers to play with, and without the powers you are level with 2 very slow very easy games. Kirby isn't a game about challenge is about screwing around and having fun. --- "joe is attractive and quite the brilliant poster" - Seiichi Omori http://i.imgur.com/TheGsZ9.gif ... Kirby 64 lacks those cute little outfits Kirby gets when he gets abilities so it's not as good tbh.
Seriously though Kirby Superstar and the Wii/3DS titles are better. They're better with the pacing and level variety IIRC --- Kind Regards, Darmik ... Copied to Clipboard!

I'd say the worst Kirby game is Dream Land. It's kind of basic and lacks powers. Luckily it gets redeemed in Super Star.

Everyone loves superstar but when i finally got it i thought it sucked. Just a bunch of mini games and it doesnt feel like a full game. I like kirbys adventure and squeek squad.

The games have solid quality through the the whole series. They may not be mind blowingly amazing, but almost none of them are bad

joe40001 posted...Tauros posted...Not trolling. But I'm playing Kirby 64: Crystal Shards, and it just seems like a less fun Yoshi Story. Presentation is big, it's got to be the ugliest Kirby game including the ones that came before it. And it does play a bit slower than most of them. Also they had a neat-ish idea for Kirby to make powers by combining 2 powers but that gimmick limited kirby's power options, whereas in other ones it's more just 'let's make fun powers'. Kirby's Epic Yarn might be "easier" but that game was all about being cute and it was. Kirby is always cute and charming and so 64's "we gotta go 3d" style hurt it. Kirby Superstar games are probably the best because they highlight Kirby's biggest strength: Variety. And they have some parts that get more into challenging territory. So what makes 64 a bit worse is that: 1. The presentation is weak 2. Kirby moves slow 3. The power gimmick limits the power-ups 64 can still be enjoyed, but it is not what I'd recommend when somebody is looking to give Kirby a chance. --- "joe is attractive and quite the brilliant poster" - Seiichi Omori http://i.imgur.com/TheGsZ9.gif ... You might have given up too early assuming the game was smaller than it was. Between "Great Cave Offensive", "Revenge of Meta-Knight", and "Milky Way Wishes" you have 3 games that put together definitely equal a full game. But they each have their own twist that also make them fun. Don't get me wrong, there is fun to be had in single kirby adventures too, but KSS is the go to suggestion for many people because it highlights kirby's variety while still providing a good amount of content. --- "joe is attractive and quite the brilliant poster" - Seiichi Omori http://i.imgur.com/TheGsZ9.gif ...
