welcome to my new series. name your favorite band or music artist to start with the letter of the day, and let's see who wins. we'll do some sort of competition with all the winners when we're done.

the definite article 'the' will be ignored for the purposes of this topic. i.e the rolling stones are eligible to win r, but not t.

if you want to nominate a specific musician rather than the band they play in (i.e chad kroeger instead of nickelback) i won't stop you, though i'd prefer you'd only do this on the merits of their singles career.

only vote for one artist, please. if you want to leave "honorable mentions" that is fine, but make it clear what your actual vote is.

don't have a proper vote (yet), but as to the poll, either only actual numbers for the number category, or they should all count as if they were spelled out, and have no number category at all.
