Since they didn't call and cancel it, I've got to go tomorrow. Hopefully though, they don't just dismiss me from the hall for the 4th time without asking questions. I'm not gonna try to say anything specifically to get out of it though, if I actually get asked some questions. If they don't pick me that's fine though. Cut off my head fluff, almost look like a respectable human being now.

Who else was it that got a summons recently? Remember someone making a topic, but it's been a couple weeks, so I can't remember.

Same. But my dad working for the federal government for 38 years, including stuff in national security, is a great reason to say I'm biased towards siding with the prosecution/establishment (which is true).

I had a federal summons last year, which was also annoying especially since I had to drive like 90 minutes to the federal courthouse as opposed to 10 minutes to my local.

Is there even Jury Duty in the UK? Or is it done differently?

I got it once and it sucked, but only because it was one hell of a case and it took a toll on the whole jury.

It's done more or less the same as far as I know. You're sent a summons and if you don't fill out the form and return it withing 7 days you can be fined up to £1,000. You can claim expenses such as food, drink and travel. You can also claim for loss of earnings if your employer doesn’t pay you during your jury service. Jury service usually lasts up to 10 working days but can be longer. You may be on a jury for more than one trial during your service.

Here you're only a juror for one trial.

Ooooh. That's actually kinda neat. I wish my area had the ability to elect its own lawman.

Finished. Made it to the questioning part, but didn't get selected. Most of us weren't specifically asked questions though. Wouldn't have minded to do the case tbh though.
