They didnt change what affected the material aspect of the complaint. They just changed the digital display. Sure, it costs less, but now you earn less. The amount of time that is needed to invest is still the same.

People do not like pay to win mechanics. Well obviously the model must work otherwise EA wouldn't do it. This is a distraction. The hero cost was an example of a larger problem with their loot boxes. There's still the issue with the fact that someone can dump a bunch of money and go into combat day one with perks like 20% bonus health, boosted speed, and IMPROVED AUTO AIM that will require dozens of hours of gameplay to grind up money for loot boxes to unlock those same perks. It's obscenely pay to win, and the fact that you need to spend 80 hours to unlock Luke and Vader are one just symptom of that problem.

The amount of time that is needed to invest is still the same. Only for the campaign, which was only ever supposed to get you one character. Esrac posted... I also heard they bottle neck how many credits you can earn within a give period of time, but I don't know the specifics. So you can earn credits in multiplayer forever. The issue you're referring to is the arcade mode, which is a single player scenario style against bots. The point is, you are earning multiplayer rewards in singleplayer. Not many games, let alone FPSs, even have that as an option. So the daily limit is really not that big of a deal. Unsugarized_Foo posted... imagine playing AAA games in 2017 I'm sure glad I got to experience the golden age of gaming before big publishers realized they could make money hand over fist with cash shops. Anymore most big AAA games are going to be primarily cash shops for a tacked-on game designed to be shit on purpose to tempt people into paying to bypass the shit aspects. Whether it's with arbitrary wait times or XP bars, because developers are too cheap to make decent content, they trick you into playing the same thing over and over to keep you hooked on the game. These sort of games are also designed to be boring on purpose so you feel the endorphin hit better when you push that lever in the Skinner box. ... Copied to Clipboard!

So people are mad it takes time to build a powerful character? And more mad that someone can spend their money to buy a more powerful character? Yep. If Battlefront 2 was free, this wouldn't be an issue as it followed a freemium model. But its $60 upfront and follows the freemium model, there the microtransactions make a difference in gameplay, as opposed to cosmetic. That's the kicker. --- Trololol ... Copied to Clipboard!
