Poll of the Day > Deleting messages has changed? What was it like before?

I forgot. Now a popup cofirmation window happens. Before, you had to enter a reason for deletion, right, and it'd show [deleted].

What did that reason screen look like again, and who could read reason for deletion, and why? What other differences are there? Was there an announcement? I'd like to see a url too if possible :P

I don't remember ever having to give a reason for deleting a post. But it used to show if it had been deleted by staff or the poster and if they had edited the post before deleting it you could click the post number and still see any old versions of the post.

did this show another message or something? like what screen showed this info. was there a link under your name, a special link only appearing under deleted messages? omg wait, wasn't there a message details thingy under all messages before or something like that?

No. You got to that page the same way you would get to it from any other edited post. Currently you click on the post number in the header. Deleted posts used to remain with the header intact so the name of the poster and the post number were still there which allowed you access to the message detail page where you can see previous versions of edited posts.
