I've been struggling with Isgebind all day just trying to beat him, in a weird spot where I'm close to a sub30 but at the same time I run out of hones at the last little 1/10th of health, and I had to rely on doublecasts on Onion Knight to just even get that far, even then I was at 32 seconds but everyone was out of hones so I had to entrust and attack Ace and rely on his USB to finish the damn dragon off. If I had a fire chain it'd be an easy sub30 since outside of his paralyzing moves he's very basic, he just has way too much health and defense. I'm seeing people without chains sub30 this guy with similar parties but they also have 4 level 99 King Bombs/Marilis, ugh.

We got some info on the KH event with datamining, KH is indeed it's own realm. Sora and Riku have chase USBs, Sora is a spellblade boost with 4-hit chases on Fire/Ice/Lighting spellblades, Riku chases Darkness abilities with 5 hits. We're also getting the Heavy school of abilities early in this event.

Also the FFV torment comes back tomorrow, a good opportunity to farm power orbs for Assault Saber!

Yeah, I gave up on sub-30ing Isgebind with what I have now and I just finished getting 4 copies of each magicite from him. The key for me is being patient - he's not that bad as long as you know about when he's going to fly and you keep Edge ready to use his SSB when it happens. But he has a super annoying knack for using Sheets of Ice right when Edge's bar gets full if you don't keep Edge ready to cast.

Not quite at 601 yet. Wondering if I need to stamina potion tonight or not.

EDIT: Looks like tomorrow, about 26 hours from now, at 12am PST. Will probably use a stamina potion tonight anyway just to be safe.

luckily it looks like the KH relics are more in line with global power curve than JP, so i won't feel like i'm missing anything. Sora's USB looks strictly worse than Orlandu's (both covering exactly 3 elements, even) and Riku's looks worse than Tidus's. i mean, i'll be missing the first global AOSB but i'm not too bothered by that when a bunch of my favorites are getting those in the next few months.

only hangup for me is that new Cloud BSB can't end up on an FF7 banner for at least 6 months. and possibly other new SBs for actual FF characters.

Finally got down to doing the crystal tower. Some notes:

- God damn Atlas is annoying as fuck. Absolute slog to kill him, and almost bungled it at the end when I mistimed using Rosa's USB (which I had been employing perfectly) so that it blocked his roar instead of crushing grasp. Roar was annoying in its own right, but that crushing grasp that actually hit me almost ruined the run. Thankfully, my DPS combo of Vaan and Raines were enough.

- Since I used Raines on Atlas, I had to go more physical with Vinuskar, meaning I had to hope Larsa got a bunch of soul breaks to block the shitty statuses. I forgot how much Crown hurt too, as I had to S/L a few times when it murdered Larsa in one hit before I hit him with magic breakdown.

- Ultima Weapon's flare star huuuuurts. Had to switch out Refia for Agrias, just so I could add her cleansing strike debuff SB to the battle. That, combined with magic breakdown and full break, got the damage down to about 3-4K each, which was manageable.

- Deathguise was pretty easy, just basically nuked him ASAP with Orlandu and Squall. He died almost instantly after coming back to open-wing stance for the first time.

I'm waiting for more details on the KH banner before I make choice. I'm thinking "skip" based on what we know right now, but if multipliers are better than expected, or the remaining relics are solid, I could still consider it.

ok nevermind, Sora got 3 en-element glints and 3 en-element LMs (from LD), and an AOSB (common thought was just an OSB based on animation). also a 25% dualcast LMR.

so, no individual relic is really any better than global, at least once we start getting AOSBs, but that combo makes Sora good and it probably makes the overall banner higher quality than most in global. still don't think it's definitively better than what we'll get in 3rd anniversary, but if you like Sora more than the characters featured there it's a good alternative.

Apparently we're going to be getting the Realm Dungeon overhaul in about two weeks. DeNA is going to increase Clear and Mastery rewards from most of the realm dungeons. If you've already gotten the old rewards, you can't get the new ones; however, DeNA will be giving out a one-time bonus based on how many dungeons you have already completed (1-200, 201-400, 401-600, 601-800, 800+.) Basically, going up a tier gets you 2 Mythril, and also a smattering of other non-Mythril rewards.

If you're near a "breakpoint", consider pushing for it. If you're not, it's probably better to hold off on realm dungeon completion for now, since the new rewards are generally better. I believe you can find some direct comparisons on Reddit.

Dont think Ill be able to reach 800 in time. Havent been able to play much lately.

If you have then you easily have over 800, you shouldn't have to bother counting them up.

I was ready to say easy pass on the KH banner, but the thread on Reddit is saying first draw is half price. If that's true I may pull once. I don't think I really need dark or lightning at this point, but Sora could still help with fire and especially ice.

Completion is the only thing that matters for the mythril reward. Don't master them!!! Mastery bonuses will be increasing tonight but you can't collect the new ones if you get the current ones.

mastery doesn't matter for that, so yes, for sure, even if they're dicks and increase the threshold in global.

i counted 852 between classic+elite, so that's 51 you could leave undone for now.

Like I said before Japan hasn't powercreeped us as much as they have had in the past. We already got most of the recent meta changing USBs (Marche, OK, Orlandeau) the only real powercreep they have is gen 2 chains and a few USBs in their extreme fest. The regular weekly events haven't had anything game changing like Raines' BSB or OK's USBs, in fact people are pointing out how our current banners are better than the ones in Japan right now.

KH I'm kinda torn on, I could use another Lightning DPS but I'm don't think the rest of the banner is that great outside of Riku's USB. Even if it's worse than Tidus' it's still a damn good USB. Tidus is one of the top DPS in the game so being a poor man's version is still top tier, especially since apparently Siren has finally powercreeped Raines BSB so most of use are going to need a new Dark DPS for her. Cloud BSB3 looks pretty good too especially since it has a quickcast command so you can make more of the time in EX Soldier mode. If the half price thing is true I'll pull, no dupes at least.

well i revised my opinion after seeing the info about Sora's legend dive and LMR. he's essentially Squall in 3 elements but with -10% chance to dualcast (and -15% spellblade damage if you use entrust strats for Squall instead of his LMR). plus he has his USB which is likely to be better than the BSB. and he's getting his AOSB a month before Squall, so he is a bit ahead of the curve.

I'm comparing him more with Bartz, he seems like a 3 element Bartz but with -10% doublecast (assuming you get his LMR), -10% triplecast, and no fastcast on his ultra. His advantage is he can get infuse-element without using a full SB bar, which is pretty good.

Edit: I guess another advantage over Bartz is that his BSB is way better, and he has a AOSB earlier.

I feel like I got screwed on this Dungeon Update lol. I did everything and all of the better awards are for the newer players AND this update didn't reintroduce the parts of the stories that are skipped by the original way they were doing events. Like Shinra Tower and Ice Cavern were not added as part of the realm dungeons. Like for example, Lunar Subterrane Part 5 of FFIV gives the Decil Memory Crystal II and I didn't get a Major Growth Egg like I would have if I had waited to complete them all.

You're supposed to get a flat reward of MC Lodes, EXP Eggs, Major Orbs, and Mythril based on number of dungeons completed to (partially) compensate for this. Who knows when that's rolling out, in game announcement is unclear, but yeah that's why people were targeting specific dungeon completion breakpoints, to maximize the flat reward while still getting as many of the better rewards as possible.

So what should I do then?

hard to say. i wouldn't have spent that 125 without being committed to going a bit further. you're missing crucial pieces from each of the 3 characters, so you probably want to keep going until you at least get Sora LMR, Cloud BSB, or some source of enDark for Riku.

Do I need all 3, or am I ok to get one or even two of them?

I'm not so sure the LMR is that essential. It would be nice to have for sure but Sora should be pretty strong with what you have if you dive him. I'd at least try him out and see what you think.

The one thing that really sucks is that it sounds like none of these relics are ever coming back, unless they do another KH crossover at some point. So if you do want that LMR, you need to get it here.

I did another 50 pull

I just got Way to Dawn and the other glint, AND Soras Legend....

So thats both Arcanes and both USBs....

I got every relic I wanted except one.... however, about that one....

I have now EASILY spent 1,100 mythril, to get 1st Tsurgi, Ultima Blade, or Buster Sword (KH) and not got any of them.....

I assume Cloud's BSB2 will be somewhere in the upcoming fest? I wouldn't dump 300 mythril for the one relic, when you now have a bunch of dupes in there. Though damn, how do you still have that much mythril?!

I don't think I've ever seen a desire sensor as strong as MWC and Cloud relics.

And I've seen some of the pulls people have done for waifus...
