think it's about time i finally played and beat this

my trophies tell me I have beaten the abjudicator, the tower knight, and phalanx

i am soul level 24, with 4 hours played

according to the sign-in screen i am in "Stonefang Tunnel"

there's some dicks throwing rocks at me and some laughing ass face who shoots fire at me

i loaded in near some dirty ugly merchant lady

i am using a bastard sword +2 and a heater shield

i appear to have on assassin's mask, wizards gloves and shoes and a coat of plate

i appear to be wearing the "cling ring" and the "regenerator's ring"

You're right at the start of world 2-1. You've completed 1-1 (Phalanx) and 1-2 (Tower Knight), but can't enter 1-3 until you've beaten the final boss of another world, so you went and started on world 4 and beat 4-1 (Adjudicator).

Continue on in that world or try out another one. Demon Souls is fairly nonlinear. With the exception of the first world, you can do everything in any order.

Been a while since I played DS, but in generall Strength is your go-to stat for that. Check the stat scalings in the details on your big swordy weapons.

Endurance is a super important stat as well because it governs max stamina and the kind armor you can equip. Vitality is nice too, as besides the HP increase it lets you carry more total items (which is more obnoxious than anything else, later games thankfully let you carry as much crap as you want).

ok i did two endurance and one vitality for the time being

im not sure which archstones lead to which levels tho

also i upgraded my bastard sword to +3 hope it's not a terrible weapon in the end lol

1st Archstone: Medieval castle
2nd Archstone: The Mines
3rd Archstone: Creepy Tower
4th Archstone: Ruins
5th Archstone: Fucked up swamp

Bastard Sword is fine I think.

First archstone is the basic castle area with armored knights and all that jazz. Second is Stonefang where you are now, tunnels and mines and fire monsters.

Then you got Tower of Latria, which is my favorite, it's a dungeon with a really spooky atmosphere although it gets worse as you go on sadly.

Shrine of Storms is next and it's the tits.

Valley of Defilement is even more terrible than it sounds. Poison swamp and it's a fucking nightmare good luck

Nearly every boss is easy tbqh.

Swamp is trash tier world so do that one last. Not particularly hard, but just poorly designed.

3-2, 5-1, and 5-2 were the worst imo

I wonder if I'd have a much easier time with this game after putting so much time in bloodborne.

demon's souls is about a million times easier than bloodborne

and ulti is correct, just hold down L1. your shield pretty much can solo most of the game for you.

It's hidden in 1-1. You have to roll from a stairway over a wall that leads to the balcony where you first found Ostrava. Though if it's been a while, you probably don't remember Ostrava >_>
