Generally, you want to have a rainbow diet/intake of fruit and veggies, but that's simply for diversity's sake.

Carrots, goji berries and acai berries are good additions. Quinoa has been shown to be a better complete protein than soy, though that's splitting hairs at that point. It also has a surprising amount of it. If you're looking to supplement your diet for working out, quinoa, soybeans, almonds, cashews and so forth are definitely additions to add. In addition to all that, leafy greens like non-Iceberg lettuce, kale, spinach, collard/turnip/mustard greens and so on contain a good amount of vitamin C relative to their bulk. Along with that, they carry plant sterols that are able to supplement metabolic pathways in unexpected ways. Notably, they can be converted into steroids like testosterone and so forth, so they basically enhance your genetic transcription and overall protein production.
