Hear me out. I believe in love in terms of loving a pet, loving a hobby etc but romantic love, soulmates, only one for me out there I think is just total BS. I dont know one long term relationship where they are happy, every young person relationship is lucky to last 18 months to 2 years then when that ends they have someone else within 2-4 months usually.
The feelings that people say is love is just a chemical reaction in the brain which is only there to keep the human race breeding but thanks to Hollywood, everyone rambles about how that is love and how if you dont have romantic love or a partner that you are somehow less of a person. My cousins cant survive without men to the point where they have literally zero personality outside if they have a dick at the moment or not but then im apparently weird because 3 years ago I quit dating and still dont plan on doing it, again. Love has been romanticized to the extreme. It does exist as a bonding mechanism, but it's not like... some mystical thing.

your parents must have had a horrible life together. just because you don't see two people genuinely enjoying each other's presence in your direct environment doesn't mean that it doesn't happen.
