My bracket is totally destroyed. I did a second chance bracket to try to get myself engaged again and I had Kentucky going to the title game so it's destroyed too.

Choco, Slurpee, and I are the only ones who are pretty much dead in our bracket at least in terms of winning this group. It could actually go a lot of weird ways but obviously chewy needs Villanova to win it all or he can't win. In any case, the winning score is gonna be trash.

MNTwins is in the 96.5 percentile as of now. His PPR isn't great, but that might not matter. 3 of my Final Four are still alive but Duke and Purdue could both lose today and obviously UVA was a catastrophic champion pick for me.

The best thing about posting from work is the good "From the Web" stuff you see on gfaqs that I've blocked at home. This one says

"If you're over 25 and own a computer, this game is a must-have!" and it has a picture of Cloud.

That's like saying, "You need to check out this shoe brand!" on an NBA forum and it's a picture of Jordans.

Soooo, anyway, Bumgarner was hit on his pitching hand with a baseball and he's missing 2 months. Baseball already sucks.

Those spring training freak injuries are the worst. If it had happened in a real game it would of course still be awful but not quite as galling because at least he would have had a real reason to be out there.

They signed him. That's very different though, he's still sort of young and a lot of teams were interested because he looked good apparently

just beat the part where you fight bowser in the clouds and his hat has boxing gloves. Been lots of fun so far, but the bosses have all been really easy (not a complaint, just saying)

The bosses are pretty good for a Mario game. That's always been a weak point for the series but I forgive it since it's not really the point of the games

That bowser one was the trickiest one yet, but yeah the 2D ones were never boss intensive. You can "beat" bowser in the original super mario bros in like 1 second if you time it right and just run under him

Shohei Ohtani has had a rough spring training. I know that spring games don't mean a whole lot, but it's definitely made me a lot more curious to see how he pans out. I'm not sure if I want him to be a legit two-way player or for him to fizzle out because I'd otherwise be jealous that only one team gets to have a guy like that. I think what will happen is that he'll be exclusively be a pitcher within five years, since modern big four sports teams hate everything fun and unique, and the slightest injury scare from batting or baserunning will freak the Angels out

I didn't even know where Loyola was until RC mentioned it.

The ohtani performances are interesting. I can definitely see his time as a two-way player being short if he keeps struggling. I think they will try to make him focus on one thing or the other. The tried and true method. As Chewy said, anything unique is scrutinized at every turn.

I really like Matt Olson and I think he's gonna wreck this season but obviously the home run rate has to come down a bit. There are some people who think Ozzie Albies is the next big thing too. Also I'm hopeful that you're right about Leone getting saves but the Cardinals might still pick up Greg Holland

Yeah, I'm not expecting Olson to hit at the rate he was in the last half of last season, but if he gets at least 30 I'll be happy. And I've jumped on the Young Braves hype train, hence Gohara as well.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Olson hit 40+. The power is legit. It just depends on how well the rest of his hitting profile can support it.

Is baseball really starting in two days??? WTF!!! It's not even April yet

What's really weird is that there isn't even one of those games before the rest of the teams get started to kick off the season. All 30 teams play on Thursday.

They changed the catch rule but it sounds like bullshit to me:

A receiver must control the ball, establish himself in bounds and perform a football move such as taking a third step or lunging with the ball in hand.

Is that supposed to be simpler? I thought most of that was already in there. "Control the ball" is so vague, and "football move" is dumb. Didn't they remove the "football move" language once? And now they're bringing it back? What happens with a catch with two feet in bounds but the third is out, that sounds like a non-catch the way I'm reading this rule.

Here's how they should fix it: Get rid of stupid-ass replays

The season really starts in two days? That's so sudden. I decided a couple of weeks ago that I would dust off my 3DS and play some games I never got around to once baseball starts up again since it makes for some great background noise. I think Fire Emblem is first on the list.
