Provided by the school at no cost.

The school will also now have security with metal wand detectors.

Isn't this some type of prediction from some works of fiction?

Clear backpacks? Really?

In the schools in Chicagos south side I've seen this implemented it was definitely warranted. These kids had shootouts at the el station, in the parking lots, the street, going to and leaving school. Yet citizens couldn't legally carry a handgun at the time.

It's just sad that you actually believe that's how it really works.

All it really takes, is the right five lawyers decreeing that the 2nd amendment doesn't actually meant what we've thought it's meant since 1789.
That's the actual plan. It's definitely going to be an interesting day when that happens.

I'm saying citizens wouldn't let this happen. You can say its illegal, even decree it. People won't voluntarily turn them in on the scale you think. It would cause civil war. Maybe not in the state vs state sense like the 1860s, but people would die attempting to enforce this.

American soldiers are people too. There are sane politicians out there. You're asking American soldiers to go door to door, forcing people at gunpoint to disarm. Soldiers will die. Citizens will die. Guns will STILL be available. Your solution is worse then the current problem.

Yes, soldiers are people, but they are also conditioned killers. There are some in uniform who wouldn't think twice about killing anyone they were ordered to, fellow citizen or not. And if you can find a couple dozen drone operators that are willing, that makes it simpler. And "sane politicians"? WTF are politicians in this country ever going to do except issue strongly worded statements and line their pockets with lobbyist money?

I'm not saying "military vs. citizens" is a solution (You really thought I implied that?), I'm just saying that if it came to that point, Ricky Redneck with his semi-auto AR and 5000 rounds isn't going to mean shit against highly trained fighters with fully automatic rifles, explosives, and various other weapons of war.

You're calling for the military to kill American civilians in order to enforce a law. That is a much serious problem then any we currently face. Do you realize what you're saying? And if that isnt your solution. What do you envision? People saying "here you go, take my guns" and peacefully going along with it? That won't happen. Will you please stop putting words in my mouth? I am NOT saying I support a tyrannical government, either. I'm saying that if something like this did happen, it would be BAD. If it gets to that point, two things have happened: 1, this country is either teetering on the verge of or has become a dictatorship; and 2, people are so ground down that they accept large numbers of casualties as needed "for the greater good."
