I just learned one of our senior accountants is leaving. Basically just me and some other person left, the other individual does not really help out as I noticed and has been here longer than me (one year). We have had 3 people/temps quit literally days after starting. I have never seen such a shit show in an office (definitely entertaining tho)

There is no way I am taking on a shit ton of tasks with no pay increase. The added stress ain't worth it (and neither is the free food)

Damn, my resume just makes me look like a job hopper but idk why companies expect you to work so much with very little incentive and expect quality work. Kinda ridiculosu if you ask me but I'm not really concerened since I realized the grass isn't always greener, no matter how green it looks

I'll be on the uber grind with @Zangulus. Good thing I just got my dash cam in the mail :D

Nope, they will not give an increase. They would rather hire a temp and risk losing them days after. Big Red Flag much, yes. I think I am done with accounting/business for life, this was beyond exhausting. Panera (company who bought ABP) bragging about decreasing labor costs and expects all General, Assistant Mangers, and supervisors to complete daily tasks on time without adequate workforce. What in the actual fuck??? Do they not realize how messy it is to constantly hand hold cafes just for booking purposes because nobody is properly trained? Then they have the nerve to brag about taking away over time, gtfo.

What dash cam did you get? Have you ubered yet? Ive only done 2 nights a week. But I might start doing 3. Ill have to see how well those nights work out.

I got the wheel witness HD Pro Dash Cam with GPS. I was considering getting a Cabin Dash cam as well but I don't think I'll need one albeit when I get more of a cushion in terms of finances I will buy one. People say it is necessary but if I ever get so unlucky to have a gunman as a passenger I will stop driving then :/

I like Uber, has the stickers since late October of last year but started driving in January of this year. Some peopel are awesome bnut the door slamming is my biggest issue with almost everyone

You see, I don't mind long hours, but a lot of jobs have managers who only know specific areas; if you've been at a company in a position for years you should know how to guide your staff. I cannot find a company that has a good upper management team. I really don't understand why it is so difficult to attain talented people. Actually jk I lied, pay them and be reasonable

I am most likely going to take 2 crap paying jobs to get by. For some reason a lot of companies are shit shows. People don't mind dealing with crap on a daily basis but there is definitely a limit. See, in Calgary, the mayor shut down Uber until they could figure out insurance. It was just the insurance companies bitching about a technicality. You are earning money, therefore should have commercial insurance, but it's no different than you driving your friend and them giving you money for gas. And I'll bet you if I called Dominos right now and asked them if they require their delivery drivers to have commercial insurance, they'd say no. Their drivers are probably covered by the company, like you mentioned. Insurance has way too much control in Alberta.
