Just now I got modded and in the dispute I got the reply I simply can't comprehend. It's simply unimaginable to me.

I don't want to say what was the matter about because topic will get purged and I'll get modded, so I'll just paraphrase it.

Something can be offensive even if it's true and can be regarded as hate speech.
Facts don't necessarily make something less offensive.

I also got modded in an argument before when I literally quoted things from religious books because it's hate speech.

(I accepted the moderation and if moderators are reading this, please don't purge the topic because I'm geniunely interested in what people think and these statements really baffle me.)

Maybe I expressed badly, I wasn't really referring to trivial stuff like calling someone fat or such.
But if I actually referred to some cultural customs or religion I'd get modded.

Lots of people are offended by actual scientific facts, especially if they address a group of people by race/nationality/religion.

E.g. (for the sake of a fairly uncontroversial one) Americans tend to be fat.

Agree completely. Sadly, there are a bunch of mods & posters here that are giant fucking babies & can't handle reality.

The truth can not only be offensive but it can also be regarded as trolling.

Sounds like your moderation history is because of how you're presenting things intentionally to offend or attack an entire group of people for their beliefs

I was thinking more like "the fact we have people still trying to remove lgbt people from society in 2018 is obscene" in regards to facts that are offensive. :/

Today I got modded on a topic about that muslim girl getting beaten for declining pre-arranged marriage because I said that most muslim immigrants across US and Europe aren't willing to adapt to westrn laws and consider that behaviour normal.

Maybe "some" as opposed to "most" would have been a choice of wording that would not get you hit.
