It's supposed to be cheap and quick to make, which in theory allows the team to spend more time on story and whatnot, as well as make it easier to get studios to produce them. steven universe wasn't the first to use the style and it wont be the last. also, from what i've heard, the previous thundercats reboot was actually cancelled primarily because there was so much porn of it made that it came up when searched on google before anything to do with the actual show. similar to why erin esurance got the boot --- [various robot sounds] <cite>pxlated posted [p:901677622] in Thundercat...
