Hmm, Vertical just licensed one of the Kinos Journey manga. The one by Shiniya Iruka, not the cover posted in the ANN article (which is a cover of the Gou version).
Ive got all of the current volumes in Japanese and I can say that its a great adaptatoon. The first 3 volumes covered the stories from the LNs first volume.

I still don't get it, is this like a huge misunderstanding and valve passing rules without telling devs, or is someone pressing valve to do something about these games with extremely high sexual content because muh prudish ways and shit?

Also the HuniePop dev isn't the only one who got a message, other games that got attacked got a message saying to disregard as well. Looks like it may be a victory for the Anime Titties.

Valve has some restrictions on how far content goes. They don't want like full on pornographic games on Steam. So a lot of these VNs have a good amount of questionable content. They worked with Valve and removed what couildn't be in when they released. Most of these Devs also offer uncensored patches as well. We don't really know what happened. Someone could have raised a stink with Valve and Valve could have knee jerk responded to it. Or someone could have just fucked up, or maybe they were changing some things. We don't know. They haven't been clear about it.

I was just talking about the witcher and this issue with a friend, and i think with the witcher it boils down to that the sex in those games is used more of a plot device or character development rather than being the focus of the deal.

In huniepop you literally win games to undress the girls, that's a pretty big difference.

But then again i wont deny that this is clearly a blatant attack to any anime-looking game, it's not a secret they've been targetting these for a while, look at twitch.tv for example and their rules, but clearly doesn't apply to, again, shit like house party... hypocrites.

Yes, they do have some. They can go up to a point. You'll find suggestive content as far as they can.

How do you MH players decide between fashion and functionality? I've been hiding my "optimal" builds AKA fashion disasters with the Kulve Taroth layered armor, but now I wanna switch my weapons up. The Kirin SA is awful, but I like the way both it and the power element phial looks(green sword!). Also it's Thunder, so I probably wouldn't even be using it every fight like I do with the Axe of Demons.

In unrelated news, there are like 6 previews right now for unreleased Love Live songs so that's been fun.

I usually go for functionality over fashion, but then it gets to a point where you get so used to fights you could probably do em naked so that's when i switch to fashion and just wear whatever suits me atm

I just use optimal setups for quests I really want to clear and fashion for casual farming and messing around.
Mostly fashion in World though, since the game itself isnt that hard compared to the older titles.

Fashion takes precedence. Back in 3U I ran with Barioth HR Gunner mask for all G-Rank.

The twist is I did not use guns.

However you should switch weapons as weaknesses require, but at least with armor I say dress in what speaks to you.

I was thinking about getting into MH when the Generations demo came out, but I never got around to it until a XBL friend asked if I was getting World. I also got 4U this year, and I've had a lot of fun with both.

World is pretty easy which is why I'm considering going for fashion now, although there's still a part of me that thinks I shouldn't make a hunt last any longer than it needs to be. Multiplayer especially feels awful with the scaling. I brought a poison weapon(for fun) to a 2 man Kushala Daora hunt, and the other guy just stopped playing after he carted twice so that took forever.

Fashion 100% of the time. What's even the point of playing if you don't look stylish?

I played through all of 3U with Gigginox Armor because it was badass. It gave me demonic blessing, but I didn't care because I looked badass. Same with weapons. If it looks badass, I use it.

Style over function every time.

I usually prefer to wear full sets even if the skills aren't optimal, but when i want to go full tryhard is when i bust out the mixed sets.

Do I play as a guest or do Sunborn ID?

Use Sunborn ID just so you have a backup if you need to switch phones or whatever. You don't need to link your Facebook or Twitter accounts for anything in the game.
