I think the difference in this one was Lebron actually committed to playing defense instead of taking plays off. and his guys hit threes, of course, but no one on Boston played even remotely well thanks to the team defending.

cleveland as a team looked locked in on D but also on offense. lebron played much more off ball and i saw a lot of off ball movement from everyone in general.

celtics also couldn't run a pnr and couldn't make an entry pass without turning it over.

the whistle was bad for us but not an excuse. jaylen put himself in fucking terrible spots with dumb fouls.

will be interesting to see game 4 and if cleveland can keep up their intensity on both sides when shots don't fall like that again. I think they can win it - winning in Boston might be another thing though

nothing to say that the shots won't fall in game 4. we all expected this to happen though. not for the celtics to collapse like this, but for cleveland's shots to fall at home at the very least

Yeah, role players generally play better at home than on the road, and Cleveland basically has a bunch of role players plus LeBron at this point.

I mean, Boston is kinda all role players in their own way and they have the biggest home/away gap in the playoffs. I wouldn't be too worried if Boston loses both 3 and 4 because Cleveland still needs to look competent in Boston and no one else has been able to do that this year.

Boston seems so poorly coached on the road. it's almost like they're a young team.

game 5 will be fascinating if this holds. Cleveland seems like they've gotten their defense back in shape but I think it might just be Boston getting swallowed up on the road.
