Not 1 bit, got a house, kid and girl. Lights are on and bills are paid. This is my prepaid card I load half my check onto. I use it for entertainment or whatever. This is the month of may and I still got 1 more check.

No it's not the same thing whether you buy a digital game or physical. Actual games have content and value. Which do you think you'll get more out of, a whole $40 Fire Emblem game for the 3DS, or 75 orbs in Fire Emblem Heroes?

"More out of" is subjective. Heroes is constantly changing and evolving, that 1 fire emblem game will stay that way forever

It's not subjective lol. A 3DS game has a lot more content than a freemium smartphone game does, and unlike the freemium game, you're not severely limited with how much you can enjoy it without constantly having to pay extra money.

You can try to rationalize it all you want but you're going to regret this down the road

Enjoyment is subjective, I've spent hundreds on rocket league keys and that game was $14 bucks. I've gotten more play time out of RL than any game this generation except nier auto. What's to regret lol? Do you not know what disposable income is? And how long is this road, I've been on the Microtransaction train since 2014, and really amped it up when Pokemon go came out, still got my house and electricity

I'm not talking about enjoyment, I'm talking about how both regular video games and freemium games function. One objectively offers way more than another right out of the gate and doesn't limit your ability to play it without spending extra money.

And when I say you'll 'regret it down the road' it could apply to literally any situation where you want/need something but don't have the money for it. Maybe you want a nice new TV. Maybe you want a new car. etc. Just cause it's 'disposable income' doesn't mean you can't use it in a more efficient manner

You dont think I have a savings? I definitely do, as well as a federal tsp fund I can pull 50k+ from. I'll be fine. I spend money on games I buy for $60 bucks too, is that different? I got plenty of Destiny 2 silver, and that game has hundreds of hours of free content.

And that's great, I'm glad you feel that way, but none of what I said is wrong. Assuming you're making 100k (you may be making more, who knows) a year by yourself, if you're spending -hundreds- a week on this stuff, you're blowing 10%+ of your annual salary on valueless bits of data. That is irrational.
