I mean, good that she was going slowly so as to minimize the chance of hurting someone, but yeah, I don't see her keeping her license for long. Disregarding the rules that brazenly and with that many witnesses isn't likely to end well for her.

Well no wonder! They called it the Plymouth half marathon. She thought she was supposed to race driving a Plymouth.

Wow.

This reminds me of the time I was driving in a funeral procession and a lady cut into the line. The 2 cops escorting us promptly pulled her over.

So I'm guessing they were full marathon runners until she drove her car into them, cutting them into halves? What a horrible albiet accurate person she must be!

From someone who lives in a town that used to host an Ironman, I understand how frustrating it can be when your city gets shut down so that people can ride bikes and run all day.

As soon as they start being manufactured as weapons, it may be something to look into.

The biggest idiot here is clearly the moron hurting himself trying to stop her freaking car for driving 1 mph through people who clearly have no issue going around.

I do like when people think this is a witty response.

Imagine if guns were regulated like cars. You need to take a class. You need to pass a test. You must maintain a license which can be taken away for improper use. You need to pay insurance in case there is damage. Yearly, you have to get it inspected to make sure it's in proper working order.

But yeah, car control.

I mean that is pretty much what is done already, so what is your point?

Plus I think the fact you need to do half those things for cars is incredibly stupid.

Yes. Yes, it is. Also, they don't let parents take their sick children out of the country for alternative treatment.

I was in a 5k once and there was one car who drove into the race path. Fortunately no one was hurt as far as I know. I don't doubt it was frustrating to be trapped for some hours but usually the organizers/city would/should post notices of the event. People can be expected to plan around that.

The man who came at the driver with a cone then attempts to get in her car on the passenger side to stop her driving any further.

Could he actually be charged with breaking-n-entering even in that scenario? I only ask cause I can't help but feel depending on the location, some laws might exist in regards to that.

So how was she supposed to get to work? The reporter really did a half-assed job with that article. There needs to be a map showing where she entered the parade route and what roads were available to get to her destination. As is, it reads like there was no alternate path for her to take.
